Minnesota Lean Startup Group - Join the conversation
By Justin Bacon
I am forming a local group to actively exploring Eric Ries's Lean Startup Methodology. Intended for those of us who are engaged in our own startups or interested in learning about the process.
I am by no means an expert in Lean Startup process and am still learning about it myself. I repeat: I am not an expert. I am doing this because I'm a huge proponent of Lean Startup based on what I've learned thus far and want to learn more. My goal in forming the group is to bring together people locally who are interested in applying Lean Startup methods to their own ventures, to teach and learn from each other, and to have an open dialogue that fosters a robust local Lean Startup community.
The Lean Startup methodology incorporates lean and agile concepts with the process of customer development and discovery of product/market fit using rapid iterations of OODA (observe, orient, decide, act.) The emphasis is on responding to feedback, changing directions based on what you learn during each iteration, perservering in uncertainity ("idea failure != startup failure.")
When/If there's enough interest I'll get a meetup group formed. I already have a "green light" from Eric Ries to proceed. So even if you can't make the session, please sign up so I can add you to the google group.
