Hello all. I created DriveAlternatives with my business partner Kavi Turnbull. We map alternative fuel stations across the US. The site is created using Ruby on Rails, which came with a bit of a learning curve as application development was new to me, but I'm learning a little more everyday.
Right now we are focusing on simplicity. Our service is bringing users to fuel stations, and from the homepage you'll see that focus. I was inspired by UmbrellaToday who had users enter one thing, their location. We require a little more, a fuel as well as a location. That's it though, with that info we bring you to your station. We have lots of plans for our site beyond simply mapping fuels. As we grow those plans will begin to materialize. (iPhone dev. is one of those plans)
